Tanker Stowage Plan Online: Tank Cargo Allocation, ASTM Table 54B & IBC Code
NavLib Tanker Stowage Plan Studio is an interactive marine engineering calculator designed for Chief Officers, Master Mariners, tanker supercargoes, and cargo inspectors. The suite combines an interactive 2D deck plan with tank widths scaled strictly to their volumetric capacity, international calculation standards for oil and chemical parcels, commingled cargo stratification, and clean printable reports isolated from website navigation and advertisements.
In tanker custody transfer, accounting for atmospheric air buoyancy (-0.0011 t/m³ or -1.1 kg/m³) is mandatory. The application features a real-time four-way synchronization grid: tank filling percentage, observed volume (m³), weight in air (WIA), and weight in vacuo (WIV). Adjusting any single metric instantly updates the remaining values based on individual tank temperatures.
Key Features & System Capabilities
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Restricting maximum cargo volume to 98% at the highest anticipated voyage temperature provides safety ullage against thermal liquid expansion, preventing structural bulkhead damage and liquid discharge through high-velocity pressure/vacuum (P/V) valves. The system issues an amber warning above 98.0% and an emergency red alarm at 99.5% and above.
Weight in Air is determined using the standard equation: WIA = GSV * (Density at 15°C - 0.0011), where density is expressed in metric tons per cubic meter (t/m³), and 0.0011 t/m³ represents the standard air buoyancy deduction compliant with API MPMS Chapter 11 and IP guidelines.
Use the "Save Plan" and "Load Plan" buttons in the top toolbar to store your current voyage plan as a clean, structured JSON file. Vessel hull dimensions and tank arrangements can also be exported separately via the "Vessel & Tanks" configuration drawer.
The suite employs an aggressive document-level print stylesheet that hides the Elementor DOM tree, WordPress admin bars, headers, and footer widgets. When launching the print dialog, only the vector vessel plan, cargo grade tables, tank schedule, and Master / Chief Officer endorsement boxes are sent to the printer or PDF export.
